Technical Sales Rep Vacancy
We have an exciting opportunity for an Auckland based rep to join our fun and successful Team. You will be growing and managing your own portfolio with the assistance of an experienced Account Manager and our Sales Manager who will help in coaching and mentoring you to success. You will have clear, achievable KPI's and budgets. We don't expect industry knowledge but you must be technical minded and hungry to learn and grow quickly. We sell solutions to our customers, not just products, and our customers must be your absolute focus. You will need to be well organised as you will manage your call plan and you will have excellent communication and presentation skills. This isn't a 'sell and move on' role – you will be following through until job completion so need to be accurate and detail-oriented and not afraid of paperwork!
 
Duties & Responsibilities
 
  • Effectively manage a defined territory including identifying new sales opportunities
  • Maintain and build relationships with new and existing customers to meet and exceed KPI's
  • Work to a dedicated plan to maximise selling time and develop the territory to its full potential

Christchurch Operations Manager Vacancy

We are looking for an Operations Manager based in Christchurch. This role isn't for the faint-hearted as you will be involved in all areas of the business. The South Island Team is small (let's be honest, with you there will be two!) so you must be used to working autonomously.

Our Sales Manager is ambitious and successful and needs someone to work with who is prepared to do whatever it takes to help deliver our projects on time and to our customer's delight.
 
Industry knowledge would be great but if you are technical-minded and hungry to learn and grow quickly you should speak to us. Ideally you will have 5 years' experience managing a warehouse and controlling logistics, experience co-ordinating projects, be well organised and adept at prioritising to meet deadlines, and able to confidently manage a CRM. Good commercial acumen is a given.
 
Your day will involve: 

  • Project coordination; ensuring our installations are effectively managed, working in partnership with our contractors, liaising with our clients, producing accurate documentation, and more.
  • Managing our small warehouse including hands-on inventory control, logistics and regulatory compliance.
  • Financial elements including raising purchase orders and running project variation reports.
  • Sales support including quoting on smaller projects and updating our CRM.

Perfect Storm Creates Shortage of Warehouses

 Aaron Young shares his insights on the warehousing industry, and the key factors that are influencing change in NZ.

"Basically there's nothing to buy, there's very few to lease, the market's very tight in terms of [being] owned by predominantly big landlords....In Auckland there's an infrastructure transport issue behind the scenes. So time from warehouse to store as such has probably tripled in the last five years in Auckland, it takes that much longer to do anything."

Celebrating a Storepro legend - Ron Payne

Last night we celebrated a “bloody good kiwi bloke”, Ron Payne – aka Uncle Ron.

Ron’s starting his “soft” retirement and will be going onto part time hours, helping us out a couple of days a week, whilst he enjoys his new home in the Bay of Plenty with wife, Jan.

“Ron would be impossible to replace directly, so we didn’t try. He’s a hard worker, with an old school work ethic, and he just gets on with it. He’s trustworthy, loves customers, and solving an issue. Every time Ron and I have met to discuss something, we always come out with a decision and answer.
 
“Ron has a name amongst many as “Uncle Ron” - most installers around the country have either worked with or been advised by Ron. Over the past 20 odd years, he’s shared his knowledge with thousands of people – staff and customers alike – a lot has been learnt and shared.
 
“He was such an influence with one of our installers Jared that he was invited to his graduation at the police force in Wellington. He’s one of a kind,” says Aaron Young.
 
Ron and Aaron worked together at Capital Racking for 6 years between 1998 and 2004. Ron joined the Storepro family in 2009 and we’ve been lucky to have him with us ever since.
 
We wish Ron all the best and are looking forward to seeing him around the office occasionally.

Sales Representatives (North/West Auckland and South Auckland)

  • Knowledge of the techniques and methods of selling B2B
 

Account Manager (North/West Auckland)

You will be responsible for the growth and day to day management of our large and national customers/ key accounts in your sales area, delivering exceptional service and achieving and exceeding your sales targets by your target-driven focus. You will be able to demonstrate success in a similar role where you developed effective sales plans for your area, managed the lead-to-sales process and monitored and managed large scale projects. You will inspire by example as you work closely with the Sales Rep in your area. You will need to be used to working in multi-function teams as you will be responsible for representing and clearly communicating your customer’s needs to our wider Team at our Project Review Meetings. The ability to complete accurate and timely paperwork, manage a CRM and good commercial acumen is a given. Experience in a technical field is a necessity but industry-related experience will help your application to really stand out.

Key Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with strong sales skills in a rep/territory manager role
  • Demonstrable success in a B2B sales experience
  • The ability to Identify opportunities and build strong, long-term business relationships
  • Experience with a CRM or database management system
  • Degree level education in any discipline 

Both roles require that you are technical-minded with a clean, full driving licence and are legally entitled to work in NZ. We offer great remuneration packages comprising a salary based on your experience and achievable uncapped monthly commissions together with a company vehicle and the usual tools of trade.

Christy Knappe is Storepro’s new Projects Manager, responsible for ensuring our projects run on time, on budget, and to the customer’s requirements.

Christy comes to Storepro with a tonne of relevant experience, including being the Managing Director at EDL Fasteners where she had overall responsibility for operations, purchasing, finance, IT, and parts of HR.

Known for her leadership skills, dedication and ability to implement positive change, we could not be more excited to have Christy join our team. We’re already seeing her skills in action and know good things are to come.
