ERP Go-Live: June 1st

On Friday 1st June, Storepro will change over to a new ERP system, Netsuite, which will provide significant improvements to the way we operate across all our business departments.

We’ve done lots of testing and are confident that Netsuite will deliver better financial, supply chain and customer relationship management. All of which means a better experience for our customers.

While we’re taking every possible measure to ensure a smooth transition on go-live day, it’s possible that orders may take a little longer to process over the next few days.

Job Vacancy: Part-Time International Purchasing Officer

We have an opportunity for positive, team-oriented, part-time Purchasing Officer.

You will be overseeing the smooth running of international purchasing and maintaining inventory at a level that ensures the lowest cost possible whilst meeting business needs.

You will be:

  • Managing and monitoring inventory liaising with our sales team, key suppliers, shipping agents, operations and our warehouse
  • Negotiating with international suppliers to achieve best pricing, product quality and supply
  • Creating purchase orders
  • Analyse trends and developing purchasing forecasts
  • Managing supplier product quality
  • Co-ordinating and monitoring air and sea freight logistics for international purchases.

You will be organised and efficient and ideally have at least 3 years' experience in a similar purchasing role in a global environment with a working knowledge of imports, shipping and freight. You must be technically- minded as you will need to read technical drawings and specs from the factory. You must be confident with IMS – you will be using Netsuite.

We want someone who will work closely with our sales and warehouse teams and really make this role their own. This is a 13-month fixed-term contract to cover parental leave of approx. 20 hours per week commencing July. You will be based in our fun, open-plan offices in Penrose but there may be some requirement to work from home occasionally outside of normal office hours to liaise with our international suppliers.

Job Vacancy: CAD operator/designer

We need someone to join our small hard working and fun design team specializing in the design and implementation of pallet racking systems in New Zealand. You must have CAD program experience and some practical manufacturing experience or pallet racking design experience would be a real advantage.

This would be a great first role for someone with a hard-working and positive outlook with excellent cad skills and experience, solid communication and time-keeping skills.

Your day will involve:

  • Liaising with the Sales Team and client to obtain the specific information required to create drawings from the concept plans through to final plans.
  • Ensuring that Project Information Forms are accurately completed for each project
  • Providing component counts for major projects
  • Holding project review meetings
  • Calculating the cost of installations
  • Attending site visits
  • Using AutoCAD for installation drawings and Inventor for 3D modelling on component counts
  • Reviewing materials lists
  • Assisting with the consent process
  • Completing manufacturing drawings for jobs where product needs to be modified

Job Vacancy: Installation Project Co-ordinator

We have an opportunity for someone to join our Installation Team in a pivotal role. Based out of Penrose, you will be working at our client’s sites throughout Auckland and nationally, ensuring our jobs run smoothly, safely on time and to cost. Working with our highly experienced install site co-ordinators and our audits and inspection specialist, you will be conducting pre and post-installation inspections, managing contractors and co-ordinating with internal and external customers to deal with issues as they arise. This role has the potential to develop into a project management or technical specialist role with time and depending on your skills and abilities.

You will be:

  • A really effective communicator – you follow through and know it is essential to keep everyone informed.
  • Able to read technical drawings and engineer reports, with a knowledge of the consents process.
  • Experienced in project co-ordination in a similar environment – you can allocate people and resources to projects to ensure that jobs are completed on time, safety requirements are met, and that resources are used as efficiently as possible.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to travel and stay away from home on a regular basis

To be successful in this role:

You will be adept at managing time, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines and able to think on your feet and calmly deal with issues. Your commitment to health and safety, quality, and best practice are at the forefront of everything you do. You are a stickler for detail and accuracy and comfortable with following process and ensuring others do the same. You are ready to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in when necessary – this is not a desk-based role and you will need a good sense of humour; our Team like to have fun too!

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in racking or a similar technical projects-based environment
  • Total commitment to health and safety and best practice
  • Experience managing contractors
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Technically minded – preferably with manufacturing, construction or engineering experience
  • Legally entitled to work full-time in NZ with a full driving licence
